Lymphatic drainage is receiving widespread acclaim in the wellness community. I visited The Tox in Cedar Hills for their 60-minute Master Tox treatment. Continue reading to find out if it lives up to the hype.

The Tox's body treatments offer a transformative approach to wellness by blending lymphatic drainage with body sculpting techniques. The body treatment that I booked promotes lymphatic flow to eliminate toxins, reduce bloating, and improve overall circulation to help move stagnant fluid, flush toxins, and leave you feeling lighter.
The Tox's Portland location opened in August 2025. The spa is located in a modern shopping center in Cedar Hills with ample free parking. Upon arrival, I was greeted by name and welcomed in. The lobby was clean and aesthetically pleasing. I liked that it was dim and super quiet. I didn't have to wait long before my technician walked me to my treatment room.
The treatment began with me lying on a heated bed as my technician, Christine, misted rose water over my face and recited positive affirmations. I was immediately able to let relax and detach from any stress or worries. The treatment was about 90% manual massage and 10% machine. I wasn't able to see, as I had a heated mask over my eyes, but the machine felt like a suction cup gliding over soft tissue. It was a very relaxing experience, though it did get a bit spicy when she worked on sore muscles.
A unique part of the treatment was the abdominal massage. I had never had any sort of body work on my organs or my abdominal muscles. There was light pressure applied to the front of the body, yet quite a firm pressure to the obliques and lats. I found the side body work to be very benefitial in reducing soreness and tension in these areas. It is not recommended to eat or drink for 30 minutes before your treatment due to the disgestive stimulation.
Afterward, my muscles felt relaxed and tension-free. My body felt lighter. I felt rejuvenated and refreshed from head to toe. I was given a lymphatic drainage tea, a cozy robe, and slippers. I felt like I needed to get my bearings after being in such a relaxed state. I checked out the numerous products for sale in The Tox Shop. The spa carried gummy vitamins, the tea that I was drinking, skincare devices, and mouth tape. They really thought of anything and everything you may need to detox and support your overall health at home.
Over the next 2 days, I noticed substantially less bloating in my abdomen. It is recommended to sweat soon afterwards. I taught a fitness class that evening at 5:30 and was able to work up a decent sweat to eliminate toxins. My muscles did get pretty sore the following day, so I made sure to prioritize extra hydration. Expect soreness, similar to a deep tissue massage, the day after.
Based on the location, the staff, and the effectiveness of the treatment, I will definitely be back. I can recommend this treatment without hesitation to anyone looking for a full body reset. The Tox has multiple women-owned franchise locations accross the United States. Feel free to reach out if you have questions.
